El Museo Del Traje: one day inside Spanish Fashion History

Are you on the point to finish your studies in Spanish Fashion or maybe are you an expert in Fashion Marketing, but you don't know well the History of Spanish Fashion? Perfect, You are the next visitor of the "Museo del Traje" in Madrid!

During my studies in Fashion Marketing by Alicante University, I knew that in Madrid there is a beautiful Museum with a complete Spanish Costume collection from the most ancient times up to the present. So one day during this could february I went to the Capital and I visit it. It is a permanent exhibition that change during the time and there is a special area for temporary exhibitions too.



It was founded in 2004 and located in a modern building created by the architects Jaime López de Asiaín and Ángel Díaz Domínguez. Inside you will spend time surrounded by real dressing from XVIII sec, Regional Spanish Dressings (Fallera, Flamenca, Chulapo, Montañés..), Majismo Style that you find in Goya's paints, historical pieces of Mariano Fortuny, Madrazo, Cristóbal Balenciaga, Pedro Rodríguez, Paco Rabanne, 20 - 40's Spanish haute couture, 70's Spanish Prêt-à-porter, Contemporary Fashion like Jesus del Pozo or Agatha Ruiz dela Prada....and for who has dreamt with Breakfast to Tiffany Movie, the special Black Givenchy dress of Audrey Hepburn!!!!
